Who is Alix Marren?
You might know me as Alix, but my name is actually Alexandra. You can think of them as two different people forced to share the same brain cell. While Alexandra nods thoughtfully in back-to-back meetings, Alix plots how to make the two executives kiss in the elevator.
In 2025, I hit a burnout wall that forced me to step back (and take a sabbatical), rest, and find my zen. Alix immediately hijacked the keyboard, poured all that pent-up energy and frustration into a Word document, and accidentally wrote my debut novel, Chasing Red.
Today, I am a modern double agent. By day, I am back in the corporate trenches. By night, I take all that tension and turn it into sapphic love stories.
I set up this newsletter as a space for us to keep the stories going: the quiet domestic moments, the scenes that didn’t make it into the books, the scenes that should’ve been there but weren’t, and everything in between.
